How to Use the Keyer
Key Mode
- Press and hold spacebar or click the button to send a signal
- Short press (less than 60ms) for a dot (·)
- Long press (more than 60ms) for a dash (−)
- Release to end the signal
Paddle Mode
- Press Z key or left-click in left box for dots (·)
- Press X key or right-click in right box for dashes (−)
- Both keyboard and mouse work simultaneously
- Practice coordinating both hands for smooth keying
Recording
- Click "Start Recording" to capture your keyer strokes
- A red indicator will show when recording is active
- Stop recording to save your session
- Play back your recording to review your technique
- Download recordings as JSON files for analysis
- Download audio files to share or analyze your keying
Tips
- Practice timing - consistent rhythm is key
- Start slow and gradually increase speed
- Listen to the tone to develop muscle memory
- Use the settings to adjust tone and timing
- Pauses longer than 420ms will create word spaces
- Record your practice sessions to track improvement
